About

We are focusing on productive ways to better our lives.

COURTNEY WHO?

Benvenuti,

Thank you for stopping by. It’s great to have you here!

Dyslexia and ADHD turned me into the jack of all trades with a nomad’s heart and an obsession with curiosity.

Study Aboard

My travel adventures started when I decided to study at Palazzo Rucellai in Florence, Italy. The second I walked under the Piazza della Repubblica Arch, it was over for me. My fate was sealed. I have spent the last twelve years traveling worldwide, visiting all seven continents, over thirty countries, and counting.

Graduate School in Rome

After graduating with a B.A. in Classics and Ancient Mediterranean Studies with minors in History and International Studies, I decided in 2016 to return to school to get my Master’s at The American University in Rome for Arts Management. I spent the next year and a half living in Rome.

Working in Venice

After living in Rome, I moved to Venice to work with the European Cultural Academy as their Program Coordinator. Unfortunately, while this was my all-time favorite job, and I didn’t want to leave, my contract was ending, and I couldn’t stay because my visa was running out, so I had to return to the US.

The Year Of COVID

Then, after the archaeology tour company I worked for closed, COVID soon hit, and I was teaching yoga at Pure Bliss Yoga in Fort Lee, NJ, and selling my photographs at Piermont Flywheel Gallery in Piermont, N.Y.

The Two-Year Sailor

After spending the last two years as the Global Gallery manager aboard National Geographic, I have decided to pursue traveling, writing, and photography full-time. Along with running my travel blog, Cardini Studios, Substack, and the online print shop, I am also working on my first travel memoir as my debut publication. My goals are to master writing as a craft, publish a book once a year, and inspire others to chase their dreams and see what the world offers through travel and storytelling.

Currently Writing

While I run my travel Blog, Cardini Studios, and Substack, I am also spending 2024 working on my first travel memoir, which has the working title The Two-Year Sailor: One Woman, One Goal, Seven Continents. Though I love the name, I am still determining what the future holds and if it will be changed.

Follow me on my journey to completing my first manuscript!

I hope you stick around, explore my site, and join the journey; we are here for growth.
